Removal of ESL tax in NSW

As of October 1st, 2016, a New South Wales state tax (ESL or FSL) will be removed from the price of Trov Protection on all currently protected items for NSW residents.  ESL/FSL stands for Emergency/Fire Services Levy and is a tax that was collected by the government to help with emergency relief efforts. The NSW government has decided to reform this model and phase out this tax as of July 1 2017. We will continue to pay the FSL to contribute to NSW fire and emergency services until July 2017, however we have decided to remove the tax early and pass on the savings to our customers.
